Is Hoops League free?
Yes. Creating a league, drafting and playing a full season are free, with no ads.
How is it different from ESPN or Yahoo fantasy basketball?
You set one lineup a week, not one every night. Each starter's best two games of the week score, a third game only scores if it beats one of them, and if a starter sits out a game your bench average fills it in. No daily streaming, no waking up to set lineups.
What is Lock & Roll?
A league format where one game per starter scores, and you choose it. After a player's game ends you can lock that score in, or roll on and hope his next game is better. A lock is final, and you have until his next game tips. Forget to lock and his last game of the week scores.
Can we play a dynasty league?
Yes. In a dynasty league everyone keeps their whole roster from season to season. Each new season opens with a short rookie draft: worst record picks first, the champion picks last, and only rookies are on the board.
How many people can be in a league?
Leagues are private and built for a group of friends — typically 6 to 12 teams. You invite people with a code or a link.
Do I have to set my lineup every day?
No. Set your starters once for the week and name a captain. Each player locks when his own game tips, so you can still swap anyone who hasn't played, and bench players can be dropped or traded any day.
How does scoring work?
Points-based: points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, threes and turnovers, plus bonuses for big games and double-doubles. Your captain's games score 1.25×. Matchups are head-to-head each week, then playoffs.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Hoops League works in any browser, and you can add it to your home screen on iPhone or Android to get push alerts for your draft pick, trades and game nights.
