About Hoops League: fantasy basketball for friends

Hoops League is a private fantasy basketball app built for one thing: a season with friends that's fun without being a chore. One lineup a week, no streaming games.

How it works. Points-based scoring on official box scores, weekly head-to-head matchups, a live draft with projections, waivers, trades, playoffs, and a commissioner who can fix anything. Every point is explained on the matchup page.

Three annoyances, designed out. Load management: every player carries an availability rate, projections discount back-to-backs, and if a starter sits out a game his team plays, your bench average fills it in. Vague injury tags: hover any OUT/DTD badge for the feed's actual note and expected return; a late scratch pings you. Waiver grinding: because only a starter's best couple of nights score, a free agent with a packed schedule can't out-score a better player — so the league is decided by who you roster, not how often you refresh.

One call a week. Name a captain before he tips and his scoring games are worth 1.25×. A top-half score is worth a standings point even in a loss, so a big week against the league's best team still pays. Commissioners can switch on extras — a mid-week Heat Check, and three Power Plays a season — if a league wants more to do.

Always current. Scores, schedules and injuries update automatically every night and during games; the weekly write-ups and player recaps are generated from the box scores.

Who runs it. Your commissioner runs your league. League questions go to whoever invited you; if something in the app is broken or confusing, write to support@hoopsleague.app.
